Lockheed Martin is the prime contractor of a 300-person program supported by more than 40 other contractors responsible for ensuring mission operations and providing sustainment, enhancement, and modernization of mission critical systems.
We are looking for fully cleared, highly motivated individuals to join our team. Opportunities are available in the Washington area including Northern Virginia, Hanover, MD, and Columbia, MD for the following experienced professionals with a Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility based on an SSBI with a FSP including:
Database Engineer/Administrator - Install, configure, tune, and maintain Oracle 10g RAC configurations to support mission critical systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for design of new schemas to support system development, developing queries and/or views to support development, and troubleshooting and resolving problems with operational and development database instances.
Forensic Engineers - Research and identify new digital forensic techniques to identify anomalous behavior within large volumes of host images to include encrypted files to discover intruder intentions or actions and new intrusions. This position requires experience with file system structure, operating systems, memory analysis, and the use of forensic tools such as Encase, FTK, or XWays. The position requires strong technical knowledge and interpersonal skills. The work is fast paced, often requiring a quick response to dynamic operational issues. The position requires constant learning and adapting to new requirements as you manage numerous projects, priorities, and technical issues. Security certifications are also preferred (e.g. CISSP, Security+, Networking+, DoD Basic Digital Forensic Examiner, EnCE, and ACE).
Modeling and Simulation Engineers - Research and identify intruder tradecraft within large volumes of data. This position requires experience with common modeling and simulation tools like OPNET and SPSS, and the use of decision and fault tree analysis, cost benefit analysis, process and system simulation, optimization, and statistical analysis. The position requires strong technical knowledge and interpersonal skills with the ability to think creatively about challenging problems. The work is fast paced, often requiring a quick response to dynamic operational issues. The position requires constant learning and adapting to new requirements as you manage numerous projects, priorities, and technical issues. Use scientific methods to analyze data, develop mathematical models and simulations of operations, and make predictions regarding intrusion methods and targets. The incumbent is also expected to develop decision-support systems to assist analysts with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured problem sets.
Reverse Engineer/Malware Engineers - Research and identify covert channels to discover anomalous behavior or similarity within large volumes of host images and network traffic. The individual will also discover intruder intentions or actions, and new intrusions through reverse engineering malware, unidentified software, and seized hardware. This position requires experience with file system structure, operating systems, memory analysis, computer hardware, and the use of reverse engineering tools such as WinHex, IDA Pro, Ollydbg, SoftIce, and fuzzers. The position requires strong technical knowledge and interpersonal skills. The work is fast paced, often requiring a quick response to dynamic operational issues. The position requires constant learning and adapting to new requirements as you manage numerous projects, priorities, and technical issues. Security certifications are also preferred (e.g. CISSP, Security+, Networking+, DoD Basic Digital Forensic Examiner, EnCE, and ACE).
Software Engineers - Perform the full range of software engineering tasks, including software design, implementation, and software testing. Software will be developed using Java and C/C++ in a Linux environment. The developer will also support integration and test activities related to system upgrades and deployments, participate in the program Configuration Control Board (CCB), prepare inputs for CCB consideration, and resolve assigned action items related to system development and O&M activities.
Software Engineers (Java/J2EE Developers) - Develop software using Java/J2EE technologies to implement a Services Oriented Architecture. Development activities are performed in Linux, Windows and UNIX environments using Eclipse.
Software Engineers (Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP) Developers) - The developer will work as part of a team of developers developing the next generation analytic application framework using the Eclipse RCP framework. The successful applicant must have experience developing either Eclipse Rich RCP applications and/or Eclipse plug-ins is a must and a minimum of 2 yrs of on the job software developed experience using core Java (JDK 1.5 or higher).
Software Engineers (Embedded SW Developers) - Perform the full range of software engineering tasks, including software design, implementation, and software testing. Software will be developed using C/C++. The developer will also support integration and test activities related to system upgrades and deployments, and resolve assigned action items related to system development and O&M activities.
Software Engineers (Database Application Developers) - Serve as the database application development subject matter expert and developer on database and application development project teams. In this capacity the individual will participate in the customer requirement definition phase, provide design recommendations and conduct the application development. The individual will evaluate design and implementation of existing database and application systems to ensure optimal efficiency and performance of deployed systems. Participate in project test activities as required. Expected to be a key contributor to the Portal Development process. Work with the Project Manager and other key team members to gather requirements, design and implement applications in alignment with project schedule. Incorporate best practices, standards and processes as well as draw on team expertise and other team resources to provide timely, technically sound recommendations that meet customer requirements. Conduct demonstrations, briefings and status reports as required. Working experience installing and configuring Oracle Application and Database servers in a multi-tiered environment (development/production). Experience with leading development efforts and all phases of the development life cycle. Knowledge of Public Key technologies (e.g. Public Key based authentication mechanisms) for applications, enabling, row and column security, Virtual Private Databases, and dynamically loading data to an Oracle database from XML.
Systems Engineers (PCS Assignments) - System Test Engineer with SIGINT experience willing to relocate to one of several sites located worldwide. Responsible for the support and maintenance of deployed systems. Performs software upgrades, assist with new system deployments and integration with legacy equipment. Work directly with field personnel to support daily systems operation and maintenance. Candidate will need to work with and interface with test team members, developers, subsystem leads, and systems engineering representatives.
Systems Integration and Test Engineers (Test Automation) - Systems test engineers responsible for testing large scale windows application. Scheduling, statusing, planning, and coordinating component and system testing Integration and test in Windows, Unix and Linux environments. Integration with COTS products and custom-developed software. Test activities to include test procedure development and execution, automated test script development, execution and maintenance, regression testing, and requirements verification. Direct interface with customer on formal test-related activities. Candidate should have minimum 5 years test experience, proven ability to work independently, and have demonstrated test leadership ability. Role requires strong communication, interpersonal skills, and technical capabilities.
System Administrators - Support the installation and configuration of hardware and software in Linux, UNIX and Windows environment. The successful candidate must have strong Linux, UNIX or Windows server administration skills, experience administering/deploying (DNS/NTP/NIS/LDAP/SendMail/AD) network services, experience administering NAS; specifically, Network Appliance (NetApp) filers, Knowledge of CISCO routers, switches, and firewalls, familiarity with Oracle Database and Application Servers, experience with Veritas NetBackup.

Technical Writers - Provide technical writing support for program Technical Task Orders (TTOs). The technical writer will work closely with the program engineering staff to prepare complex technical manuals and training materials from electronic source data and other material to meet the program requirements of the TTOs and CDRLs. The individual will be expected to format technical publications and provide writing, editing, illustrating, interpreting, and depth of coverage support across the program.
Training Specialists - Develop training materials and user's guide for the complex, mission critical systems. The training specialist will be responsible for conducting training workshops and courses for operators and maintainers. The training specialist will also provide input to the program related the program web sites.
