David Wallace
Military Relations Manager - Capitol Region
David joined the U.S. Navy in 1988 and began his military career as a Photographers Mate, serving aboard the USS Fulton (AS-11) and USS Forrestal (CV-59). He earned the designation of Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, sailed on two Mediterranean cruises and was involved in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. His shore tours included working at the Naval Explosive Ordnance and Disposal School and Naval Explosive Ordnance and Disposal Technical Division where he served as the Leading Petty Officer for the Public Affairs Office. David then decided to change career paths and completed his last 13 years as part of the Career Recruiting Force as a Navy Counselor. He served as a Recruiter-in-Charge for five additional assignments with tours at Andrews Air Force Base, Md., NAS Patuxent River, Md., Adelphi, Md., Augusta, Ga., and Anacostia, D.C. A few of his significant accomplishments include: Area Southeast's Small Station of the Year and Intelligence Recruiter of the Year.
Upon retirement, David came to Lockheed Martin as a Senior Employment Representative in June 2009. Shortly thereafter, he assumed his current position as one of our Military Relations Managers. Based in Arlington, Va., he travels the Capitol Region coordinating with the area's multiple military installations and helping those transitioning from the military to Lockheed Martin.
Phil Prevatte
Military Relations Manager - Eastern Region
Phil was born in Lumberton, N.C. After completing high school he attended Chowan College and then joined the U.S. Air Force, holding the job of Personnel Specialist in Human Resources. During his service career, Phil assumed twelve assignments, accumulating nine medals (six being the Meritorious Service Medal) and 37 other awards and citations. In addition to his stateside service, he served nine years overseas, including one year in Turkey. When Phil retired from his Air Force career, it was at the highest enlisted rank of Chief Master Sergeant (E-9).
Upon his military retirement, Phil was hired by Lockheed Martin as a recruiter for our Air Logistics Center in Greenville, S.C. Soon after starting with the company, he was selected to perform military staffing for our Information and Technology Services business unit; the first job of its kind in the corporation. In December 2004, Phil assumed his current position as one of four Lockheed Martin Military Relations Managers. Today, he travels the Eastern U.S. coordinating with over ninety military installations and helping those transitioning to Lockheed Martin employment.
Miguel Gutierrez
Military Relations Manager - Central Region
Miguel holds the job of Military Relations Manager for our Central Region based in Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a degree in Engineering in 1980. Upon his graduation, he was commissioned as an officer in the Army Field Artillery Corps. Miguel subsequently served tours of duty in West Germany with the 3rd Armor Division and the 11th ACR along the East German border as a FIST team leader, Battery Fire Direction Center Officer, and a Battalion Fire Support Officer for a 155mm SP Field Artillery Battalion. Upon his return to the U.S., he was assigned to the Staff & Faculty at the Army National Training Center in Fort Irwin, California as a Field Artillery Operations Evaluator.
Upon completion of his military commitment, Miguel transitioned into the civilian workforce, working for both defense and non-defense related companies including Rockwell International, Northrop Corporation, Tracor Aerospace, Loral Aerospace, Wal-Mart Information Systems Division, Levi-Strauss, American Airlines, and now, the Lockheed Martin Corporation. In addition to his job of helping military professionals transition into Lockheed Martin employment, Miguel is an active member of the West Point Association of Graduates and local West Point Societies, assisting fellow graduates with their transitions to Lockheed Martin careers.
Simeon Garriott
Military Relations Manager - Western Region
Simeon's military career started in 1980 by attending Naval Officer Candidate School and being commissioned to the rank of Ensign in the U.S. Navy. He was then assigned to the USS Wichita and completed a Western Pacific/Indian Ocean deployment that included Vietnamese refugee rescue operations. He then attended Surface Warfare Officers School and deployed aboard the USS Wichita. His job there included performing Nicaraguan surveillance and KAL007 salvage operations in the Northern Sea of Japan. Simeon then reported to the USS Cochrane in Yokosuka, Japan, deploying to the Indian Ocean and Western Pacific. Simeon's last shipboard job was aboard the USS Gray.
Simeon was promoted to Captain in October of 2002 and has served as AS (surface), AX (undersea), AW (air) and AP (strike) warfare commanders in several Fleet Tactical Training Group Pacific warfare exercises. Additionally, he was Navy Liaison for the Time Critical Targeting Cell at the Joint Forces Experiment 2000 held at Nellis Air Force Base and has been involved in several other joint, combined and multi-national exercises.
